Philip Zanzano's Bowling History

Philip Zanzano started his bowling career at a very early age, 2 years old with his Fisher Price toy bowling set.

At age 5, Philip was a member of YABA, Young American Bowlers Association. He bowled at Waverly Lanes in Eastchester NY on Saturday mornings. The bowling alley closed a few years later.

At age 8, Philip was bowling at Yonkers Bowl in Yonkers NY holding a 120+ average.

By age 12, he was bowling in the Westchester County weekend tournaments held at different town every week along with bowling in the Saturday morning league.

In 1980, Philip bowled with his brother, Christopher Zanzano and 2 of his friends in the overall Westchester County Junior's tournament in the Section B 4-Man Handicap Team event. They went on to win that division, 1st place.

In 1998-1999, Philip moved to North Carolina, where he attended Cape Fear Community College and bowled in their school league. He became friends with the Bowling Pro were the league was located.

After some additional assistance by the Pro, Philip was bowling in Pro/Am Tournaments with him in North / South Carolina averaging in the 190's.

After a break from bowling, Philip started a 3 man team in a local bowling center with his brother Christopher and his brother-in-law, Christian Foss. On a December night, Philip went on the bowl his first 300 game.

He was listed in the American Bowling Congress Hall of Fame after his 300 game was certified.

Next challenge for Philip is an 800 Series.

I attest that all the above is true, his favorite bowling coach, his father,
